Halifax Tides first homegrown player Saorla Miller, started out by building a standout collegiate career, making her professional debut in Iceland, and then coming back home for a breakout campaign in the NSL inaugural season. After rising through Halifax’s local soccer clubs, winning bronze at the 2017 Canada Games, and captaining the University of Memphis (where she claimed four conference titles and finished as the AAC’s top scorer), Miller returned home and delivered 4 goals and 1 assist in the Tides first season. She became the first player in club history to score two goals in a single match, recorded 25 shots on goal, and appeared in 25 of 26 games. Miller’s speed, versatility, and goal-scoring threat continue to anchor the Tides’ frontline for the upcoming 2026 season.
