With Canadian and Slovakian roots, Anika Tóth proved to be one of the Tides breakout performers in the inaugural NSL season. Anika came into the season as a second line goalkeeper and later stepping into the starting role and delivering a standout campaign. In her 19 appearances, Tóth recorded 4 clean sheets, made 72 regular-season saves, and quickly emerged as one of the league’s most dependable shot-stoppers. Her consistency earned her both the NSL Goalkeeper of the Year award and a place in the league’s Team of the Season which was voted on by NSL players. Internationally, Tóth represents the Slovakian Women’s National Team, bringing valuable experience to the Tides between the posts.
