Halifax Tides FC (7-10-5, 26 points) return to Wanderers Grounds Saturday, Oct. 3, to host Calgary Wild FC (4-13-5, 17 points) in a Northern Super League matchup as the regular season enters its final stretch. Kickoff is set for 3 PM AT, with the match broadcast live on CBC. Saturday's match is also the club's Kickin' for a Cure match dedicated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Halifax sits fifth in the NSL standings with three matches remaining, and every one of them is a chance to build on the momentum as they make their push to playoffs.

Saturday marks the second meeting between the two clubs at Wanderers Grounds this season. Halifax has taken three of the four matchups so far and has outscored the Wild 7-1 across those meetings, with a 4-0 win on May 24 at McMahon Stadium, a 2-0 win at Wanderers Grounds on June 13 and a 1-0 win on June 27 at McMahon Stadium. Calgary claimed the most recent meeting, a 1-0 win on Sept. 12 at McMahon Stadium.

Last Time Out:

Halifax enters the match following a 0-0 draw against Montréal Roses on Sept. 27. A result that extended the Tides' strong defensive form.

Calgary comes in off a 3-1 win over Vancouver Rise on Sept. 27.

Players to Watch:

Goalkeeper Anika Tóth has been a key piece between the posts. Tóth has played 12 matches this season and kept five clean sheets, including the draw against Montréal, where she was named player of the match and claimed the NSL save of the week.

On the back line for Halifax, centreback Addy Weichers has started all 22 matches and been on the pitch for eight clean sheets, anchoring a defence that has allowed just 21 goals this season. She is also a threat on set pieces, getting on the end of a corner for a header in the Tides' home opener.

For Calgary, Jorian Baucom leads the Wild with five goals and 29 shots on target, while goalkeeper Katelin Talbert ranks third in the league with 62 saves in 15 appearances.
