Halifax Tides FC have secured a key piece of their back line, extending wingback Julianne “Jubes” Vallerand to a contract extension through the 2026 season.

Jubes joined the Tides during the July 2025 transfer window on an 18-month contract and quickly made an impact after arriving midseason. The Montreal-born player appeared in 12 matches, earning her first two professional assists while providing energy and reliability on both sides of the ball.

Known for her tireless box-to-box work rate, Jubes consistently linked the defence to the attack, offering pace, strength and strong game awareness. Her versatility allowed her to contribute on either side of the pitch and added stability to the Tides back line as the season progressed.

“Jubes didn’t take long to settle in after joining us halfway through last season,” said head coach Stephen Hart. “She made the left fullback position her own. Her competitive nature is admirable, and her ability to play on both the left and the right gives us significant depth.”

Jubes’ physical presence and willingness to push forward helped steady the team during the second half of the season, and she is expected to play an important role as the Tides look to build momentum heading into the 2026 season.
