HALIFAX, N.S. – Nakamura was a standout performer in the club’s inaugural season, after leading the Tides with five goals and 21 total shots across 24 appearances.

Since joining the Halifax Tides in January 2025, from AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies of Japan’s Nadeshiko League, the Nagano-born midfielder has brought creativity, composure, and consistency to the middle of the pitch. Known for her strong hold-up play, vision, and positive energy, Nakamura quickly became a fan favourite – earning multiple Player of the Game nominations from the Beacons supporters’ group.

“We are thrilled to have Megumi back for next season,” said assistant coach Katie Barrott. “Her technical ability was a valuable asset to our team, as well as her knack for scoring goals. Megumi is a true professional and I’m sure fans will continue to see great things from her in 2026.”

A former Japan Youth National Team player up to the U20 level, Nakamura’s experience and positive influence will continue to help the Tides rise in 2026.
