Halifax Tides FC announced today that Amit Batra has departed the club, after serving as Sporting Director since the organization's founding.
"Amit has been instrumental to this organization since day one, and we are deeply grateful for everything he contributed to building Halifax Tides FC," said Val Malone, President, Halifax Tides FC. "He helped shape our identity, build our roster and staff, and get this club off the ground when it felt like an impossible task. We are deeply grateful for everything he's given this club."
Ruth Fahy, the Club’s VP of Football, will continue in her existing capacity overseeing the Club’s football operations. Fahy will assume oversight of the Club’s scouting and recruitment function on an interim basis.
Halifax Tides FC remains focused on its on-field performance for the remainder of the 2026 Northern Super League season and on its continued growth as the first professional women's soccer club in Atlantic Canada.
