HALIFAX, N.S. – Halifax Tides FC defender Eva Fremaux is back for the 2026 Northern Super League season.
At just 22 years old, Fremaux made a strong impression at the Tides in their inaugural season, bringing a blend of European composure and intensity to the club’s backline. The French defender was a force across 20 matches, recording 79 tackles and 11 shots on goal while showcasing her trademark mix of grit and creativity.
Known for her speed, technical ability, and confidence in one-on-one challenges, Fremaux’s composure helped drive the backline’s buildup play and transition into attack.
“We expect Eva to play a very important role within the organization of the team. Eva picks the right moments to join the attack, she also has the ability to recognize when to slow down the game, or speed it up. Her composure and decision making are very important for how we wish to play.” says head coach Stephen Hart.
The club is looking forward to having Eva back on the pitch for the 2026 season, where we think she will show continued growth in her game and bring even more energy and competitive edge - igniting the crowd and maintaining stability to the Tides backline.
